Research Outcomes | Project 1156

May 30 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm AEST

Join the project team behind Project 1156 for a knowledge sharing event to learn about the outcomes of this project

This project collated and summarised all available information on what is known about the prevalence of zoonotic Cryptosporidium and Giardia species in bats, birds, cats, dogs, frogs, reptiles, marsupials, rabbits and rodent, and examined the available evidence on differences in zoonotic species between animals in urban and rural settings. Knowledge gaps that need to be filled with respect to pathogen risk were identified and, where sufficient evidence was available, advice on the human health risk associated with the identification of each of these animal groups in treated water storage assets was provided.

This event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the key project outcomes, including the final recommendations. Attendees will get a good understanding of the current knowledge base and how these recommendations can support the water industry’s critical role of delivering safe drinking water to the public.

This event is FREE and exclusively for WaterRA members. We encourage our Utility members to attend.
