Phil has 25 years of experience in the Australian tertiary education sector with skills in teaching and learning in chemical & environmental engineering, combined with extensive experience in training research at PhD, Masters and Bachelors levels. Phil also has a strong track record of applied research and development, having tackled a wide range industry-based projects serving the Australian sugar industry and the mineral resources sector.
In the past 15 years Phil has applied himself to the research and development of resource recovery processes, particularly focusing on phosphorus upcycling with his research being published in top international journals. WaterRA members will benefit from Phil’s skills in technical communication where he aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and will work with members to achieve innovative processes and practices.
Working in Perth will see Phil closely collaborating with our members in Western Australia (Water Corporation, ChemCentre and our university and government members). He will work with members to develop projects of relevance to the Western Australian context and with an added national perspective, some of which that have been initiated through our recent Horizon annual planning event.
Please join us in welcoming Phil to the BIG Team.
