2021 AGM Wrap-up

Water Research Australia was delighted to host our second virtual AGM on Thursday 4th November with over 50 attendees from across our BIG Team of members and partners.

The meeting saw our Chair Mark Gobbie in his first AGM, deliver an update on Board activities over the past year including the announcement of the 2021 Director Election results. You can read about these appointments here

Our CEO Karen Rouse together with WSAA Executive Director Adam Lovell, released the Australian Urban Water Industry Research Priorities Agenda. The Agenda provides strong direction and focus to support and guide ongoing investment and prioritisation in Research and Development across the Australian urban water industry to ensure access to, and utilisation of the latest scientific evidence.

Karen also provided the company update, sharing a snapshot of our successful activities and our performance over the past year, which can also be found in our 2020-21 Annual Report.

Attendees were also able to witness the presentation of the Nancy Millis Memorial PhD Award by the University of Queensland and Icon Water, and congratulate this year's winner, Kaili Li.

To close out the meeting, we were able to farewell our outgoing board directors:
