Please join the Board and staff of Water Research Australia (WaterRA) in extending our thanks and best wishes to Research Manager, Kathy Northcott, who will be stepping down at WaterRA to take up an exciting opportunity with WaterRA member Veolia Water Australia.
Kathy's contribution and positive impact to WaterRA's success has been significant and she will be greatly missed.
During her time with WaterRA, Kathy has expertly managed numerous WaterRA projects across our research portfolio with great passion and professionalism.
One of her highest profile projects was the Value of Operator Competency - a WaterRA member-funded initiative designed to communicate the value and benefits of an appropriately trained and competent frontline operator workforce. Other highlights have included establishing our webinar program and leading our memorable Moonshots hypothetical.
"Not only will this be a significant loss to the collective expertise and industry experience within the Research team but we will all miss Kathy’s great ideas, her willingness to freely share knowledge and experience in support of her colleagues, her championing of member interests especially the smaller utilities and operators, and her incredible work ethic" CEO Karen Rouse.
WaterRA wishes Kathy all the best and we thank her for her passion and commitment to the organisation and look forward to still working closely with her when she joins our BIG team member, Veolia Water Australia.
Kathy's final day with WaterRA will be 4th June 2020. Kathy and the team have been working hard to ensure an orderly transition of her projects and activities so that members are not impacted by her departure.
Kathy's position as Research Manager will be filled by WaterRA's newest staff member, Dr Marty Hancock. Read more about Marty here
