WaterRA Research Manager Dr Kelly Hill, has recently been involved with the launch of the new Rapid Research Information Forum (RRIF).
An initiative of The Australian Academy of Science, RRIF will see Australian and New Zealand's science, research and innovation sectors unite to provide governments with the most up-to-date and best evidence in the ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This rapid research brief synthesises the evidence on the feasibility of monitoring wastewater for early detection and monitoring of COVID-19 in the population.
Kelly, alongside expert Dan Deere from Water Futures, is also leading WaterRA’s “ColoSSoS Project” – Collaboration on Sewage Surveillance of SARS-COV-2.
ColoSSoS will track and monitor the presence of the virus that causes COVID-19 and its persistence in the Australian sewerage network, providing information on where it is present in the population. Click
