AWS goes live with its Australian Rainfall Runoff webinar
To celebrate its re-launch, the Australian Water School (AWS) hosted an exciting and successful webinar on the newly updated Australian Rainfall and Runoff (ARR) Guidelines on Wednesday 8 July.
Updated for the first time in 30 years, this webinar provided a general introduction into the recently-released ARR document, including how to access the ARR data hub for design flood inputs. The webinar also discussed some the key changes in ARR, including ensemble temporal patterns, prebust and the interaction with losses.
The AWS had over 700 people from across the globe attend and participate in their launch webinar.
Participants also enjoyed a live demonstration by host Mark Babister, Managing Director of WMAwater and co-editor of the Australian Rainfall and Runoff guidelines.
The ARR is pivotal to safety and sustainability, ensuring appropriately designed infrastructure in high-risk flood areas and safeguarding communities and the environment.
