The meeting saw our departing Chair, Shaun Cox, deliver an update on Board activities over the past year including the announcement of the 2020 Director Election results. You can read about these appointments here.
The AGM provided a vital platform for voting on the resolutions relating to the changes to the Constitution which were all passed with over 85% of members in favour of all resolutions.
CEO, Karen Rouse provided the company update, sharing a snapshot of our successful activities and our performance over the past year, which can also be found in our 2019-20 Annual Report.
Our GM of Research Services, Jacqueline Frizenschaf, was delighted to announce the impending launch of the Good Practice Guide to Achieving Value of Research (GPG), the Phase 2 output from one of our key research projects, the Value of Research (Project 1118). The GPG is currently being finalised and will be accessible to all members shortly.
Attendees were also able to witness the presentation of the Nancy Millis Memorial PhD Award by Deakin University and Barwon Water and congratulate this year's winner, Minh Duc Nguyen.
To close out the meeting, we were able to farewell outgoing Chair Shaun Cox, after six years of service to WaterRA with the virtual presentation of a gift and closing comments from Shaun.
