Nominations invited for Board Directors 2019

August 1, 2019

At this year’s WaterRA AGM on 30th October 2019, four new Board Directors will be appointed. Nominations are now sought to fill these vacancies which are for three Directors nominated by Research Members and one Director nominated by Industry Members.

The four Director positions will be vacant because the WaterRA Constitution requires a Board Director to retire after two years in office. Retiring Board Directors are however eligible to re-nominate for a further term.

Three retiring Directors have indicated that they intend to re-nominate for the WaterRA Board:

  • Steve Capewell (WA Water Corporation) – Industry
  • Jamie Hollamby (AWQC) – Research
  • Professor Chris Saint (University of South Australia) – Research

Professor Richard Stuetz (UNSW) a current Research incumbent, who has also reached the end of his two year term, has indicated that he will not be renominating for the Board.

Our membership community is key to WaterRA’s success, and the Board plays a crucial role by ensuring a strong strategic focus and good governance for WaterRA.

Members who meet the Essential and Desirable criteria outlined in the Nomination Guide are encouraged to consider nominating and participating on the WaterRA Board.

Only individuals who are employees of Member Organisations (who are not General Members or Associate Members) are eligible for nomination.

Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm on Friday 16 August 2019.
