Nominate now: 2019 NMI Prize and Barry Inglis Medal

March 5, 2019

Nominations are now open for the NMI Prize and the Barry Inglis Medal. These annual awards celebrate excellence in measurement.

The Barry Inglis Medal is named in honour of Dr Barry Inglis, the inaugural CEO and Chief Metrologist of Australia’s National Measurement Institute (NMI). It acknowledges
outstanding achievement in measurement research and/or excellence in practical measurements by an individual or group in the fields of academia, research or industry in
Australia. This achievement may be in the form of a single major contribution or a body of work developed throughout a career.

The NMI Prize celebrates outstanding achievement in measurement research and/or excellence in practical measurements by a young person under 35, working in academia,
research or industry in Australia.

The value of each award is $2000.

Recognising that measurement is refined and applied in many industrial and social endeavours, NMI encourages nominations from people with diverse backgrounds, from any
field.
