The Australian water industry, through Water Research Australia (WaterRA), provides postgraduate support for research projects on industry issues. These projects offer a great opportunity for students to gain exposure to an industry committed to building research capability.

Two Industry sponsored PhD projects are available for students to apply...

One such opportunity is now available for a student based at Deakin University (Geelong campus) to undertake a PhD in water research on Beneficial Reuse of Sludge from Water Treatment Processes.

  • Open to domestic and international students
  • Must meet Deakin University enrolment eligibility criteria*
  • Flexible start date (from Semester 1)

This project offers the right student candidate the chance to kick-start their research career with Victoria's largest regional urban water corporation. If you have qualifications in engineering, science, or environmental sciences and are looking to further your studies, this PhD Project is for you!

A second opportunity is now available for a student to be enrolled at The University of Queensland, based at University of Melbourne and working directly with Melbourne Water to undertake a PhD in water research.

  • Open to domestic and international students
  • Student must apply for and secure primary scholarship at UQ
  • Preferred start date (Semester 2, 2019)

If you have qualifications in chemical engineering and/or chemical /environmental science with an interest in wastewater treatment - look no further this PhD Project is for you.
