I was delighted that our session on "Water in Australia 2030 - Research, Innovation and Collaboration" drew a large audience at the recent Water Industry Alliance / ICEWaRM Smart Water Summit in Adelaide. Our congratulations to WIA/ICEWaRM for an excellent event and sincere thanks to our experts Prof Fiona Kerr (Adelaide Uni), Prof Emily Hilder (Uni SA), Phillipp Dautel (Tonsley Innovation Precinct), Dr Jeremy Lucas (Suez/SA Water) and Mr Shaun Cox (WaterRA), who participated in the panel session led by WaterRA’s own Dr Ian Overton. The panel provided a breadth of insight and stimulating ideas that will assist WaterRA and our Members to ensure our collaborative research delivers the impact we desire. A news item will be added to our website shortly.
We are pleased to welcome two new staff members to the WaterRA team - Engagement & Marketing Manager, Mark Andersson, who has been with us now for nearly three weeks and Research Adoption Manager, Deepika Jaduram, who starts on April 11th. Mark is based in Adelaide and Deepika will work from our Melbourne office. We look forward to introducing them to you all over the coming months!
In addition to our new 3 year Strategy which continues to take shape, we have started detailed planning for our 10 year anniversary event in October which will focus on the impact of research past and future. Over the coming months we will be providing opportunities for Members to be part of this exciting event, so please watch this space!
