This project will increase understanding of how cyanobacteria adapt and function in today's environment. It will also provide insight to the key factors which contribute to growth of Microcystis and Anabaena in relation to physical conditions of the reservoir and aims to reduce and predict the occurrence and toxicity of blooms by understanding toxin regulation.
