Background and Relevance
The project aimed to (i) advance understanding of the fate of micropollutants during advanced treatment processes DOM-water partition coefficients (KDOM) of selected micropollutants by measuring for different treatment stages using DOM occurring at the treatment plant in the respective stages (i.e. and not by using DOM surrogates as all previous studies have done), and (ii) investigate the influence of the changing properties of DOM on the bioavailability of micropollutants and how DOM itself affects bioassays.
