Further laboratory studies will be used to support the development of a rate constants database for both direct and indirect photolysis of organic emerging contaminants (ECs) within the lagoons at the Western Treatment Plant (WTP). One aim is to develop a database of rate constants for key chemical moieties commonly present in the ECs which can then be used for building predictive models for photolysis under the conditions in the WTP lagoons.
