Background and Relevance

Recent extreme events have adversely impacted the ability of water supply managers to ensure water quality. Increased frequency and magnitude of extreme events adds to the challenges faced by water managers. Consequently, risk management approaches that enable water managers to assess and mitigate the water quality impacts of extreme events need to be identified and evaluated, which was the primary aim of this project.
