Next Water is Australia’s premier research for industry event.

For more than a decade Water Research Australia (WaterRA) has been a successful hub for collaboration and innovation on water issues. Our collaborative research efforts translate to real-world solutions for the water industry so generations of Australians can thrive now and in the future.

Next Water is Water Research Australia's research and innovation conference, bringing together water industry professionals and academics from across Australia and the world. This two-day conference features a selection of keynote and invited speakers, scientific and technical papers, case studies, workshops, panel sessions, and poster presentations looking into the future of water management and research in the water industry.

The event  will revisit the water industry’s past – highlighting research which has and will continue to transform the industry – and used this as a platform to determine what impact and innovation needs to occur to address future challenges.

Next Water is a distinctive opportunity to inspire the water industry, hear from leading thinkers and stimulate research ideas and solutions that will better equip utilities to get ahead of the curve.

Water Research Australia is an independent, leading hub for collaborative research that is member-driven and funded.

We are dedicated to healthy communities and a healthy planet – delivering innovation and capability building that supports public health and safeguards the sustainability of our water resources.

WaterRA is seeking sponsors to join them in delivering this event.

Over 200 delegates are expected to attend Next Water in 2023. Delegates represent all levels of government, researchers, utilities, non-government organisations and consultants.

The 2023 conference will be held at Waterview in Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park, New South Wales, Australia.
