Knowledge Share Event – Project 3048 Stormwater Quality
15 August 2023 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm AEST
As Water Research Australia’s project #3048 draws to a close, join us for a knowledge share event to learn the outcomes of this stormwater quality project.
As an alternative water resource, stormwater has a great potential to be reused for various purposes, including for the augmentation of drinking water supplies. The existing Australian Guidelines for Water Recycling (AGWR) provides guidance for utilities wishing to conduct stormwater harvesting, however, the AGWR relied on limited pathogen and chemical data. Since the publishing of these guidelines over 10 years ago, there has been a tremendous amount of effort and energy placed into understanding stormwater quality. This project has performed a detailed review and assessment of data and knowledge on stormwater quality, treatment technologies and risk mitigation for stormwater harvesting.
Delivered by WaterRA’s project team, this knowledge share event will provide an overview of the project outcomes including:
1. Stormwater quality data collection, literature review and characterisation
2. Performance of stormwater treatment technologies in removing pollutants
3. Stormwater hazardous analysis & risk assessment
4. Recommendations for the AGWR
This event is FREE and exclusively for WaterRA members. We encourage our Utility and Regulatory members to attend.
