The purpose of the Strategic Advisory Committee (SAC) is to provide strategic advice to our Board and management regarding the overall research direction and development of WaterRA.
The members of the Advisory Committees are nationally and internationally recognised experts who bring a high level of knowledge and skills to WaterRA and its Members. The committee members are required to be completely impartial at all times and act in the best interests of WaterRA.
The Board has two sub-committees - the Risk and Audit Committee and the Human Resources Committee - which provide an important assurance that the key areas of the Board's duties (Finance, Human Resources and Risk Management) will be rigorously discharged.
The CEO is supported by two Operational Committees – the Education Committee and the Project Review Team. The roles of these committees are to provide the CEO and Board with advice regarding project proposals and potential WaterRA students. The members of the Operational Committees are representatives from member organisations who bring a high level of knowledge and skills to WaterRA and its Members.
The Education Committee supports the education program through expert review of potential projects and student applications.
The Project Review Team (PRT) is a high level technical and advisory group that provides expert evaluation of research submissions and makes recommendations to the CEO and Board.
